Stage and Screen Combat Workshops and Classes with Certification.
Marlon Bulger will be coming to Wealden House, East Grinstead, West Sussex to teach Fighting Skills for the Screen and Stage, such as basic fist fight skills, Broadsword, Quarterstaff (al la Robin Hood), Samurai fights, sword & shield, bar room brawls, etc.
Marlon trained as an actor at the London and International School of Acting and is a certified teacher with the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat.
Marlon is currently the resident Fight Director for the "Shakespeare Intensive" course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and has taught at The National Youth Theatre and a number of BASSC (British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat) workshops and classes as well as deputizing at RADA, Marymount College, Italia Conti, Science of the School of Acting, The Charles Cryer Theatre and The Courtyard Theatre.
Marlon has also directed fights for TV, including most recently, directing and appearing in a samurai fight for Channel 5's Combat Club

BASIC FIGHTING SKILLS FOR SCREEN AND STAGE WORKSHOP
A class in basic unarmed dramatic combat. Learn how to punch, kick, etc. Put the technique into a choreographed sequence.
September 11th 2005 2pm – 5pm
FIST FIGHTS FOR FILM
Following on from the basic unarmed skills workshop, learn how to apply dramatic combat to film and how the camera affects the performance.
SAMURAI SWORD FIGHTING WORKSHOPS with Japanese wooden swords (bokken) – fight like the Last Samurai!
September 24th 2005 2pm – 5pm
SAMURAI BEGINNERS - Learn the basic techniques with the swords, how to attack and defend and put this into short sequences.
September 25th 2005 2pm – 5pm
SAMURAI INTERMEDIATES – Builds on previous workshop, looks at more techniques and more complicated routines
October 2nd 2005 2pm – 5pm
SAMURAI ADVANCED - Put all the routines into practice and building it up to a performance level. This will be filmed and will be available to buy.
British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat (BASSC) Certification:
This includes 60 hours of unarmed fighting for stage and screen and Rapier and dagger learnt over 20 weeks. £330.
